Macos Creative Cloud Please Wait For A Moment To Be

Earlier today I added a couple of -enhanced.dng files to one of my Collections which is selected to sync to Creative Cloud. I made edits to the file in LrC including a crop, the file got included in the Collection however the files did not sync to my iPad expected all I was able to see was a portion of the files not even the crop.
I was expecting LrC to create a Smart-Preview of the crop and sync it to cloud storage.
I eventually exported a jpeg to the same folder and Catalog then added to the collection which worked as normal.
Anyone know if what I was trying is possible?
