Unfortunately, CBROM is not able to open the BIOS file used for the ASUS P4G8X Motherboard. After a while I stumbled upon a tool named ACBROM, which eventually originates from ASUS. (By invoking 'acbrom.exe 1007002.bin /b' in a command-shell, you get the output printed in the box above). the bugs fixed version 1.25 beta awbdedit from – bios.rom.by/ROMutils/Award/awdbedit/re1_25.zip – is still buggy, though it works well when adding option rom in pci-slots on award bioses which show problems using CBROM!!
I sucessfully added a via pci sata rom file to a ASUS P4S8X firmware bios and can not boot directly from sata hdds attached to pci controller, which previous didn’t work.Sorry, typo: I now can boot directly from sata hdds attached to pci controller card.
Hi! I have Insyde BIOS and I need to get it unlocked. I need other settings. If you know, Insyde is locked with some options, but I need others, to change to AHCI to install Mac OS X Lion (iAtkos moddified). I have an HP g6 2002sm laptop.
Phoenix BIOS Editor asks for “Event Analyst.msi” file after installation on XP. What am I missing?
My bad. It was because of “Event Analyst” from Dorian soft. Uninstalled it and now everything is fine.

I would like to upgrade the E6300 Core 2 Duo CPU to a Q6600 Core 2 quad CPU and I think that may require some custom bios settings. The MB datasheet indicates the board supports Core 2 quad processors with a 1066 MHz FSB.

It has a dual core AMD E-450 APU with integrated radeon graphics (I need more than 1.65 GHz), 12 GB ram (4 and 8 gb stick), and is running windows 8.1, im new to flashing bios, so all help is greatly appreciated. WIFI Whitelist Removal Petition
Recently one of our forum members, EvanCarroll, started an online petition to request the removal of WIFI whitelists from Lenovo bios. I highly encourage everyone here to support this effort by taking a minute out of your day to sign it. In case you didn’t already know, the Extensible Firmware Infrastructure’s Human Interface Infrastructure uses Internal Forms Representation protocol to display things like your setup utility’s menu. By having access to the Internal Forms Representation, we can know everything about a menu which can assist us immensely when modding bios. Module Helper
I first started working on Module Helper back in September when Andy’s tool V2.19 was released. As some of you may know, that iteration altered the format of the extracted EFI modules by storing a module’s header, code, and name all in the same file. This created some issues with disassemblers not being able to automatically recognizing the format of the EFI modules and the size of data modules not being updated if changed. Dealing with all these negative aspects was trivial but annoying, which is why Module Helper was developed. After using Windows 8 Consumer Preview since the release date, there are certain issues that should be addressed. Not only does Windows 8 have a new “Metro” interface that many people are still adapting to, but there are several changes to how software will behave while running Windows 8 CP.
The first and possibly the most important one is Windows 8 does NOT support the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package. This means that if your software requires this package, you will have to buy new software that has a later version of the package or one that does not use it at all.
